CAN YOU PUT A HOT PAN ON QUARTZITE COUNTERTOPS?
Like granite, quartzite countertops need to be re-sealed periodically. You still need to be a little bit careful with heat because quartzite is not as heat resistant as granite. Hard quartzite is almost as durable as granite. Quartzite is found in many countries in the world, including the United States however, most quartzite slabs in the market come from Brazil. Taj Mahal, Perla Venato, White Macubas, Infinity White, Blues, Gobana, Azul Trieste, Aria, Opus White, Bianco Calacatta, Sea Pearl are some examples of hard quartzite. We will always be happy to give you vital information if you are getting a hard or soft quartzite with us. We can say that soft quartzite is a hard marble, so it can still scratch and etch. Soft quartzites, on the other hand, carry similar features to marble. Hard quartzite carries features similar to granite, so they are very durable. The Brown fantasy is nice and would indeed hide the dirt! But the other ones are just more dramatic but im not sure we have a dramatic enough house. The Corteccia is very strong, but if we went with that we might do it for the kitchen island (we are both geologists so like the mini fault ) and something plainer for the back counter. Thank you We really liked the aquarella at first, but it is does have pinky purple areas so would have to be careful which slabs we selected.

The Aquarella strikes me as an "I want motion, but not too much, oh, that's too busy, that's too this, this is too that. Based on these selections I'm guessing you want dramatic counters, so I'd go all in and go with the Brown Fantasy. From there, it's a question of how much drama you want between the brown fantasy or aquarella (if it isn't actually pink/you are okay with it if it is). Saying that, the relative linearity of the corteccia would bother me anyway. I don't know if your photos or my screen or the actual granite, but the aquarella and corteccia both look like they've got a rose undertone to them, which I personally wouldn't want.

A lazy Susan won't work so well as there will be a lot of wasted space. We have to blind corner cabinets that we will will need to access, and one is quite deep and it is the depth of the fridge (not counter depth) we are looking at these 2 options. This is the current status of the kitchen We don't actually have drywall but at least everything is moving a long nicely! the contractor is currently making cabinets while the electrician and plumber finish off their work for inspections. So we are busy remodeling our flooded house.
