That's the worst of both worlds, seems something simple that should have been implemented in the eero. How To Fix Red Light On Spectrum Router? HOW TO FIX RED LIGHT ON SPECTRUM ROUTER? Right now it doesn't so I stay connected AND have zero access.

If it always turned off the user accessible wifi network at least devices could try to connect to a more distant node.

I also have Dropcams, Android TV, Chromecast, Sonos, iPads, iPhone, Android phone, Windows laptop, and a wireless printer.Īnother big issue, when it goes red it stays on taking connections vs taking itself offline.

It shows as offline in the app even though it shows as connected locally. I do have two Nest thermos and the one upstairs near the bedroom seems to disconnect alot. The only thing I did was refresh a speedtest a few min before it happened. But I was sitting in my bedroom where I have an eero and suddenly it went red for 20-30 min. I simplified the network from 6 eeros to 4 which maximized performance. YES! I was about to post this last night but didn't feel like typing it all out. My speeds and ping are good, but boy is this an ugly solution to.whatever the problem is. As of now, the eeros are $500 worth of range extenders (well, $299 since I preordered). I have no clue what's causing the two hour, on-the-hour disconnects when the eero is running the show. So far, no disconnects every two hours, on the hour. Then I have two other "child" eeros meshed to that primary eero. So, my connection goes cable modem -> Asus -> eero. I put my eeros in bridge mode, connected to my previous router (Asus RT-AC66U). 8 e-mails later with data points, I haven't heard anything back. They answer the phone calls and tell me to e-mail them more info. It's not the modem going down, and I've started slowly removing stuff from my network to see if a device with no luck so far. It always recovers within 30 seconds to a minute, but man is it annoying to just lose it for no apparent reason. I get these random "failures" where my internet just goes down and one or all will have a red light. Anyone else having this happen? I'm on 1.0.3 on my 3 eeros.
